We provide training, equipment - whatever is needed - but it is the local doctors who care for their fellow citizens - who establish not only lifelong patient care but lifelong community care. - Because we use local doctors, our patients receive the pre- and post- operative care they need to truly make your donation a success. We work hard to provide Deseret Houses for our patients - places where their families can assist them in preparing for and recovering from surgery - places where they can receive the care, rest, and nourishment they need, for as long as they need, to ensure that their surgeries are successful and their lives not marred by post-operative complications.
- We are extremely efficient - we do everything possible to limit administrative costs and to use every dollar we receive for actual medical needs - and THAT is why the average cost of a surgery we perform is $25.
